Associate, Disputes & Arbitration

  • Disputes & Arbitration
  • Abu Dhabi
  • Full-time
  • Associate

The work

You will draft on live proceedings from the first month: pleadings, witness statements and submissions that go out under the firm's name. You draft, the partner redlines, and the feedback comes in writing, because how an argument is expressed matters as much as the argument itself.

The work runs across ADGM and DIFC arbitration and litigation on the mainland, so you will be reasoning in common law one day and civil law the next. That is the point of the practice rather than an inconvenience of it.

What we are looking for

  • Two or more years in disputes, with exposure to arbitration in the Gulf.
  • A tolerance for detail on a long record, and the judgment to know which detail matters.
  • Writing that survives a close reading by someone looking for the weakness.
  • Arabic and English are both used daily; strong written English is essential.

How we hire

Send your CV with a piece of writing you are proud of. We read every application ourselves and you will hear from us either way. If we take it further you will meet two partners and work through a real problem with them.

Apply for this role.

This one goes to the Associate, Disputes & Arbitration posting. You can change that in the form if you meant another role. Three things: who you are, which role, and the work itself. Marked fields are required; the rest are welcome and optional. It reaches the partner who reads applications, and nobody else.

Who you areSo we know who we are reading, and how to reply.
What you are applying forBound to the role you came from. Change it here if you meant another.
Your workThe writing is what we read first, so send something you would defend.

We respect your privacy. Your application stays internal to the partner group; nothing is shared externally without your consent.

Before you apply

You have read what the work is. Who we are is the other half of the decision.
