The work

You will carry your own transactions: share purchases and joint ventures that cross the mainland, the ADGM and the DIFC, and the structuring questions that sit in the seam between them. Most weeks pull across two or three legal systems at once, and the interesting work is where they meet.

In a single month you might negotiate a sale and purchase agreement, restructure a holding company ahead of an investment, and take a family office through the governance that comes with outside capital. The matters are not interchangeable. The standard you bring to each of them is.

What we are looking for

  • Five or more years on corporate transactions, with Gulf experience and closing responsibility of your own.
  • Comfort moving between civil and common-law frameworks without needing to be told which one you are in.
  • Drafting that holds up when it is read closely, because here it will be.
  • Arabic and English are both used daily; strong written English is essential.
